| Coming soon: NI Massive synth patches |
|
Since everybody has been ranting and raving about the "Massive" synth from Native InstrumentsI thought it was about time I knuckled down and built some patches. After just minutes of messing around with it I was immediately impressed with the features and functions this synth has to offer.
The Massive synth features a huge array of wavetable oscillators, filters and effects options and intuitive drag'n'drop modulation assignment. The sound quality is excellent and compares to popular analogue synths such as the Access Virus. There are a broad range of parameters for shaping and coloring the sound including highly configurable LFO's. The layout of the synth is clear and intuitive and has an obvious focus on usability. Massive has an integrated step sequencer which also makes it useful as a live performance tool. Massive features the KoreSound® Browser which makes managing the KORE-configured presets easy. You can search for patches based on certain characteristics and attributes. This synth certainly lives up to its name. It really is massive.
